About
Since 1980, the Businesswomen’s Association of South Africa has enjoyed a rich history of service to its diverse membership through networking, training, mentoring, knowledge-sharing and national recognition. Today the BWA is recognized as the leading and most prominent organisation for women in South Africa.
As a non-profit organisation, the BWA works through strategic partnerships that includes sponsors, government departments, business schools and international associations, for the interests of its members.
Strategically located across South Africa, the 7 branches are the main touch-points with the membership of the BWA, which is the platform from which the organisation bases its mandate.
Each branch is steered by a group of passionate, intrepid women and it is their unequivocal support and guidance, and their strong belief in the economic value of gender transformation that has positioned BWA as a legitimate empowerment
organisation.
